Dear Member,
This current lockdown is a trying time for most of us, especially with many exposure sites scattered across Melbourne, and particularly here in the west where many members live. I do hope everyone is keeping safe and well and I know you will be doing the right thing to look after family, friends and your communities in this challenging time. We all look forward to things improving and being able to see each other back at the Club.
An error was made in previous email that implied that members could not access the boat storage area. I would like to ensure anyone who has a Kayak or OTB boat stored at the club, they can access them from the outside decking area for exercise, as long as it meets the 2 hr, 5km from home rule.
In the meantime, as you are all very well aware, the Victorian Government has extended our current Lockdown restrictions through to midnight Thursday 2nd September. The current restriction settings remain in place in regards Williamstown Sailing Club and on water activities:
- The Clubhouse is closed during this period – no entry except to boat storage.
- No Working Bees until further notice.
- Individual boating and sailing is allowed within 2hrs and 5kms.
- Access to sail or to check moored boat only via ramp gate.
- QR Code on entry via Club ramp gates.
I will send out a notification when restrictions are changed.
Keep safe and well,
Lois Hunt
