WSC COVID Restrictions Eased 28 Jan 2021

Published Thu 28 Jan 2021

Dear Members,

The Committee of Management has been considering the community easing of restrictions since we published our COVIDSafe Plan on 9th December. Australian Sailing had released COVID updates on 17th December and our VIC Government released its latest updates on 17th January. We are pleased to advise a revised WSC COVIDSafe Plan and prudent easing of the following restrictions around the Club.

  • Mandatory mask wearing in the outdoor areas of the Club (including OTB boat storage area and upper outdoor deck) is no longer required. It is a VIC Government requirement to carry a mask with you at all times and wear a mask if you can’t maintain 1.5m distance.
  • Max 50 people gathering outdoors increased to 100 people, in line with VIC Government advice.
  • Jack Cox limit changes from 2 only to 2-3 max with mask wearing if you can’t maintain 1.5m.

This COVIDSafe Plan covers the four key areas to be addressed, being

1. Wellbeing of our members and visitors

2. Physical Distancing

3. Record Keeping

4. Hygiene and Cleaning

Plus:

5. Entry and Exit to/from Club Premises

6. Member Activities

Please acquaint yourselves with the Plan and the requirements when coming to the Club and using the facilities - found here.
