The last social sail of the season on Saturday 28^th May saw a good turn out on a cool autumn still day with a trapezoidal course set by Bruce, with the top mark to the south west. Unfortunately, the winds were very light and the fleet ended the day early with a shorten course and a tow or paddle back to the Clubhouse!

The Presentation of trophies for the season started at 4 pm with 50 or more members attending, bar open and BBQ fired up and food served. Vice Commodore Michael Lawrence started with an acknowledgement of country and worked congenially through the presentation of the awards, with great help prior from Maree Fitzpatrick and with Ruth Morton doing the honours of handing of the prizes and certificates. In attendance were the Commodore, Lois Hunt, together with Life Member Bill Pride, Megan Pride and Brooke Olsen. Bill, who is an eight times Club Champion, regaled the guests with stories of sailing days gone by, a pistol shot, the originals of the Learn to Sail programme and the legendary swinging brick! Brooke presented the Cheryl Olsen-Pride Memorial Trophy to Maree Fitzpatrick. The Club Champion for the fourth year was Leon Raymond.
