All Sail Training events are currently subject to government COVID-19 restrictions. In response to this and/or to the possibility of Bush Fire smoke, we clarify below our Course or Event Refund Policy.
Unless otherwise specified, if an individual cancels their participation in a Course or Event, or if a Course or Event is cancelled by the WSC, the Refund Policy of the WSC is set out below.
1. Transfer to another Course or Event
In every circumstance where a refund is requested, the first option is to transfer the participant to another applicable Course or Event.
2. Periods of notice in the case of withdrawal from a Course or Event
Other than in the circumstances covered by Sections 3, 4, 5, and 6, where transfer to another Course or Event is not possible or appropriate and a refund is sought, the following limits apply depending on the notice period of cancellation given:
- Less than 7 days prior to the Course/Event - No Refund
- More than 7 and less than 14 days prior to the Course/Event - 50% Refund (less any transaction fees)
- More than 14 days prior to the Course/Event - 100% Refund (less any transaction fees)
3. Withdrawal because of illness, injury or death
If a participant is unable to participate in a Course or Event because of illness, injury or death and can produce appropriate evidence of this, the fee will be fully refunded (less any transaction fee applied by the merchant).
4. Course or Event cancellation
If a Course or Event is cancelled by the Organiser (including cancellations because of COVID-19 restrictions), the fee will be fully refunded.
5. Force Majeure
If a Course or Event is cancelled midway due a reason outside the control of the Organiser (such as Bush Fire smoke or COVID-19 restrictions), or if a Course participant withdraws due to a positive COVID-19 diagnoses midway through a course, a refund may be provided at the discretion of the Course or Event organiser, less the cost of supplied materials.
6. Other Issues or Requests
Any issue or request falling outside of this Refund Policy will be referred to WSC Committee of Management for a decision.
