Event information
This event has passed.
Racing at WSC is governed by the terms and conditions in the associated Notice of Race (NOR) and Sailing Instructions (SI); these will be made available on the WSC website and may be updated during the course of the Series. Sailors will be notified in advance by email of any changes made and these will also be recorded on the WSC website.
All Series Races will commence at 1:30 pm (first Division start time on the water), with a Pre-race Briefing at 12:30 pm. Attendance at the Pre-Race Briefing is highly recommended for all skippers and/or their crew, as it is at this meeting that any last-minute changes to the course or any special safety issues will be raised.
On days where there are two races scheduled, competitors can enter either or both races. Note that time cut-offs may be applied to finishing, as detailed in the Notice of Race and in the Sailing Instructions.
The Club will run four series across the season – each Saturday will only count towards one series. The Club will also run a fifth season targeted at Juniors, Teens & 20s and Novices, on Friday nights during February and March.
As well as introducing more variety and interest into our racing, this will allow sailors to mix boat and crew combinations for different series, which will encourage participation by novice sailors (both juniors and adults) as skippers will be able to ‘try out’ a new crew or new boat for one series without impacting their results in another series. Entry into any series is automatic upon first sign-on for a race within that series. However, all skippers need to ensure that they have uploaded a Safety Declaration and Insurance Certificate for the boat that they are sailing in the series, even if they are not the owner of the boat.
