Course information

Late registrations for this course are closed.

This event is now completed.

Williamstown Sailing Club is a registered Discover Sailing Centre with Australian Sailing, and offers numerous training programs each year - see the junior sailing programme for more details.  Please email us for further enquiries or to join the waiting list for the next Tackers Program at WSC.

Also remember that the Williamstown Sailing Club's Tackers Fleet and Green Fleet is another great way to get into sailing.  No prior sailing experience is required for Tackers Fleet, and Green Fleet caters for sailors with a bit more experience. The Tackers Fleet is supervised sailing using the Club's 9x Ozi Opti Tackers boats, and Green Fleet is supervised sailing using participants own boats (usually Minnows, but can include Mirrors, International Cadets, Optimists or Open Bics). Sailing runs from 9:30am to 11:30am on most Saturdays of the sailing season (October to May). Tackers Fleet targets 7-11 year olds and Green Fleet targets 8+ year olds, however, some children who sail are older or younger than this age bracket. WSC’s Tackers Fleet and Green Fleet are free for members, and non-members can participate 3 times before the Club requires them to become members. This is a great way to try out sailing and see if it is for you.
