Hiring of Club Boats
To help new members get involved in racing, the Club has Pacer dinghies, Mirrors, Minnows and one Sabre, available to new or existing club members to hire (non-members cannot hire these Club Boats). Priority for Club boat hire is given to graduates from the Club's Learn to Sail program.
The club boats are available for the club series, social or casual sails. The Officer-of-the-Day (OOD) or their delegate must be satisfied that you can competently handle the boat in a race and weather conditions. You will need to fill in the appropriate documentation with personal details and pay the fee. If conditions are not suitable, the OOD has the final say as to whether you may participate in a race in the Club boat.
Life jackets must always be worn – you can borrow a Club life jacket, but members are expected to purchase their own life jackets after their first season at the Club.
So, you can apply to lease a boat for the whole racing season via the form below and you then also become eligible to have your scores recorded in our Club Ops results system and are eligible for prizes.
